Hello everyone! I know… it’s been a super long time since I’ve posted, I’ve been working 3 jobs…super busy!
But here I am better than ever and SO excited to share this post with you!
This post is about my favorite trends of summer 2018. As most of y’all know, shopping is my passion. Even if I am not buying, I love going from store to store (even online stores) and looking to see what is in and trying on different trends that I love.
So lets begin!
The first trend I want to show you all is ~vintage~.

As you can see, this trend is composed of pretty simple items. I love the distressed denim shorts with a fun t-shirt or even one of the basics! To me, the bright orange and yellow colors scream out vintage, along with the designs of course. To spice these outfits up, add a layered necklace and strappy sandals. The vintage look is so easy to put together. I love going to thrift stores to find different pieces to mix and match! It also does not have to be jean shorts. I love boyfriend/ girlfriend distressed denim jeans with a solid top or with a fun pattern. This is definitely my go-to look during the summer for a more casual appearance.
Next trend is casual chic. Besides a vintage look, this is my other go-to for a casual appearance over the summer!

These outfits are super easy to throw on and run out the door but still allow you to look like you spent time getting ready! Jean shorts are my favorite to wear during the summer because you can wear anything with them! Especially for a casual look, the denim shorts automatically make any outfit look casual, but very thought out as well! Any top will go nicely, except in my personal opinion, I do not like wearing a blue top with denim, but that’s just my own thought! It is totally acceptable; do whatever makes you feel the best about yourself! Next are palazzo pants. These are SO EASY to wear for a casual look, especially the neutral colored ones. Even the patterned ones are super simple to pair with a solid top. The nice thing about palazzo pants are that you can dress them up or down depending on the occasion! Not to mention they are oh so comfortable as well. Lsat but not least; the t-shirt dress. I usually save these for a super hot day where I don’t want my clothes to stick to me. Or, if I’m being honest, a day where I don’t feel like wearing pants. Girls, you know what I mean here. This is another piece that is accessible to dress up or down, and also easy to throw on and then run out the door too!
I hope no one's bored because the next trend is one of my all time favorites. Can you guess what it is? … jumpsuits, two piece outfits, and gingham patterned dresses!

I don’t really have much to say about this trend except for I am OBSESSED. Jump suits are so fun and can be worn to fit many different styles! From boho to vintage, to dressy, jumpsuits can be worn for literally anything. Going along, two piece outfits always catch my eye. These also can be worn to fit many different styles and they are super flattering as well. I picture myself wearing a two piece outfit while going for a night out in the city, brunch, or even walking along the beach one night. Most of them are very classy and so in. To continue, gingham is making a hell of a comeback. I love trends that were popular a while back and begin to come back into style. In my opinion, gingham is preppy but can also be boho. I love both styles and honestly it depends on my mood how I want to wear it. They can be dressy or casual but it is such a popular pattern lately. Not only the classic gingham spaghetti strap dress, but this pattern is going viral and being made into many different pieces including bathing suits, scarves, and even accessories. The other cool thing is, it comes in many different colors and they are all flattering! I’ve never been the type to wear many colors, however, this pattern in colors such as red, orange, yellow, etc. looks adorable.
Next trend is my current obsession; swimsuits. (Disclaimer: I get super hooked on one trend at a time and to be honest, I’ve been searching for swimsuits literally everyday now). I want to keep this short (even though this post is already super long) so I’ll just list the different styles of swimsuits I currently love.

from left to right: bandeau bikinis, ~funny~ graphic monokinis (one piece suits) and trendy one pieces. Once piece bathing suits used to seem so frowned upon, but honestly I love them! Especially since I don’t have a perfect beach body, one pieces help me feel confident yet still look cute and have fun bathing suits like others! It’s so important to feel comfortable in your own skin which is why you should pick out the outfits that make you feel like YOU.
YOU'VE MADE IT…the last trend for this post! This has become my favorite trend lately since I am a camp counselor-- it is super comfy but still allows me to feel put together! …ATHLEISURE!

I love athletic clothes. Enough said. I have been really into colored leggings lately…from turquoise, maroon, white, and even army green, they are all super fun and honestly so comfy. Pair the leggings with a racerback tank and a fun sports bra that has an interesting strap pattern to show off. My favorite place to get athletic wear is Lululemon or athleta. I know these stores are crazy expensive but the quality is so great I think its worth it. If you aren’t into spending that much, totally understandable. Check out Old Navy or even marshalls/ TJ Maxx. They have very similar items for over less than half the price. Also another hack is to go thrifting. I found a pair of athleta leggings for $15 and Lulu leggings for $10. They are such steals! You just have to go at a time where you are really in the mood to shop and pick through each rack. I think wearing athletic clothes makes me feel better about myself and honestly not self conscious at all! You can also add a hat, sunglasses or even comfy sandals such as Birkenstocks or Sanuk flip flops to complete the look and make it less athletic, more everyday!
Well everyone, that is all I have for this post. I have a bunch more ideas for other posts that should be coming soon! Hopefully my schedule will begin to clear up and I'll have more time to write because I honestly love blogging so much! Sorry this was so long, I just had so much to say and wanted to share my passion with all of you! If you made it this far, you are a true fan and I appreciate each and every one of you.
Until next time, stay ~wild~.
Xo,
D
